The Humanistica 2025 international and francophone symposium is supported by the UNESCO Chair ‘Archives in the service of African nations and societies', held by Professor Edouard Vasseur of the Ecole Nationale des Chartes-PSL. The conference will take place in Dakar from 22 to 25 April 2025 at Cheikh Anta Diop University. As part of the conference, a thematic area entitled ‘Corpus, archives and heritage' will address all the stages involved in processing heritage and archival data (collection, analysis, conservation, communication). Another, dealing with the heritage of poorly endowed languages, will also address the issue of archives and their links with innovation (see Call for Papers). The Chair will enable speakers to contribute to these themes, as well as to the training day on 22 April that will precede the conference.
